In this auspicious of New Year 2008, on behalf on Chiang Mai Municipality, I would like to convey sincere thanks to all sponsors, organizations and individuals of Green Chiang Mai Project for your continued support the improved of Chiang Mai environment.   
Experts acknowledged that environment problems have caused worldwide concern and are affecting all human beings already in areas such health, flooding, fires and quality of life.
I dearest wish is to see a pollution free Chiang Mai. Please let us all join together. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage the collaboration of all Chiang Mai residents to play their part in improving the better environmental quality to make a livable Chiang Mai become the everlasting 'Green Chiang Mai'.

On behalf of Tourism Authority of Thailand Northern Office: Region 1, it is my great pleasure to welcome all of you, who are from many different countries to promote and help improve the beautiful city of Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai is a very special city. It has the most wonderful Lanna Heritage, which has been well preserved from time to times. Today, Chiang Mai is becoming very international with many foreigners both visiting and relocating here.

It is a really good time to congratulate the team behind “Retire in Chiang Mai' and 'Green Chiang Mai” for their excellent idea. I am quite confident that Green Chiang Mai Project and Retire In Chiang Mai website will be immense benefit to the EXPAT group who have chosen to make their life in Chiang Mai, including the tourists who spend their holiday and the ultimate life experience at Chiang Mai as well as  local people. Especially, the Green Chiang Mai Project which I really appreciate, that you all come together to help preserve our beautiful natural and the surrounding of the city.
